Earlier this year in February, we were shocked to hear that our friend had stage 3 ovarian cancer. It was hard because she had just moved to Hawaii, and the distance seemed to compound the hard news. We began praying individually and together for our sister-in-Christ.
Within this year messages have gone out through social media that went something like this.....
"My moms surgery is today..she's having a hysterectomy.
...please pray for safety and Lord willing cancer has miraculously cleared, or shrunk...if Dr finds cancer...God knows all...just asking for grace and healing
...as He healed the lepers. Jarius daughter, Namaan, Lazarus and countless others! Either way God be praised..love y'all"
"Will help to tear the tiles off the roof of this world, and that Jesus will send down His grace to your mom. Tell her I love her."

"Mom did very well in surgery ...Dr was able to get most of the cancer out except two spots although they aren't bigger than a thumb nail...it's still cancer thus she needs chemo....however God has known this all along...please pray that God miraculously destroys these two spots...thank you for praying for her she really is doing fine ...we wish her insides could reflect that also pray for my Dad that he seeks strength from God..both physical and spiritual...thank you all for praying"

"Day two of recovery last night my Mom was doing very well...we were actually surprised...! It was very enjoyable we sang hymns together ...she teared up a couple of times but because she is thankful for God's grace....now honestly God has given us peace that he has decided to use our Mom for great things...however we must take it one day at a time...continue praying for her and God's miraculous healing...we truly want to show the world God's goodness....and how wonderful He is! Specifically pray these two small tumors disappear! And pray her lymph nodes aren't affected and if so that God restores them...to God be the glory! Love y'all"
"Thank you for the update, Ruth. Continuing in prayer!"

"Mom walked around yesterday which was very exciting....last night w played scattagories that was fun...right now please pray specifically that people get to know Christ during this situation, the two spots disappear, and she recuperates! Already we've seen answered prayer and mom says there's blessing after blessing God has provided...we thank you for your prayers..its highly evident...God's grace and strength has flooded us!

"Mom gets released today from the hospital...she was supposed to get released tomorrow but the Dr was surprised at how well she was yesterday! We are praising God for it all...now moms hardest journey maybe up ahead....because as of now she is scheduled to have chemo ...please pray fervently for Dad and Mom during this time...Mom can't thank y'all enough for the prayers...please pray they not lose focus on God and keep their testimony for Christ...pray for miraculously healing and coping during the times ahead...thank y'all so much...blessed be the name of our Lord"
"surely will...love you"
Today the messages are like this...
"Oh victory in Jesus my Savior forever. Today I wanted to bring a big surprise. There is no chemo session 7. All chemos as primary treatment has been completed. Once Mayra goes through some evaluation the oncologist will determine when to start her maintenance chemo which will be once every 3 weeks for one year. Much easier than what she goes through now. Praising God!"
Please continue in prayer for Mayra's remission, and magnify the LORD with us!
