And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
My husband and our pastor share the same birthday in January. This year on their birthday they spent a good bit of time together outside in negative degree weather, cleaning the church sidewalks and parking lot. I felt sorry for them for a few moments, but then I thought of how willing they were, and how accepting they were of the job falling to them. Sometimes magnifying the Lord is doing jobs that are inconvenient for anyone, especially ourselves. Never the less, they need to be done. In doing the job willingly in spite of circumstances, or thoughts of themselves, they magnified Christ, if to no one but to me and each other. We may learn someday that the little “unseen” things done for Christ may be the most magnifying to our LORD. I am thankful for the many around my family and in my church who magnify the LORD in the "unseen". Be encouraged.
