Six officers were shot last week another stabbed and countless others wrestled and fought with people bent on their own way, people wanting unmerited rights instead of taking responsibility for their befitting plights.
I know I should write. Write to unwind the emotions that come with the bad news.
I have already written out about this LEO life, about being reconciled with death knowing that it could come.
Already I wrote about how I was the recipient of the knock on the door and the declaration that my husband had been hurt.
Already I have written about the lives of our family taken mercilessly, and unnecessarily.
Yet again it has happened and happens, and the writing of it still needs to be done, to bring calm to this writer, to bring peace to some reader, to bring persuasion to the ignorant, and to bring prayer from the shocked.
Police officers have rights too, yet the only one they insist on keeping is not giving up their lives for the wicked. Even then the other groups want them to give this right up too.
Rights, rights, rights! all these groups are talking about their rights and I'm sick of it!!!
Someone once said, "If you teach people about their rights, you have a revolution. If you teach people about their responsibilities, you’ll have a revival."
We need more people who are concerned with their responsibility to others.
Elected officials concerned with their responsibility to the Constitution, and the country. Parents who know their responsibility to their children. People who know their responsibility as citizens, as adults, as human beings created in the image of God.
Who is it that talks about, and takes their responsibility seriously, no matter if it requires them to defer some of their own rights?
It is our law enforcement more than any other person or group.
Blue lives standing on the line between evil and good.
Their responsibility is known and they rise to the challenge each time, even when one of there own is taken in duty! How can we stop this factioning, these race baiting hate groups , these groups only concerned with their own rights? By rising up to personal responsibility, by taking responsibility for our families , our children , our country. By rising up like our first responders and taking responsibility to help with someone's pain , protect , serve and yes even die for that which is Right!!
I'll never forget as a young mother crying in the middle of the night when my children would not stop there own crying. I was so tired and I would get angry. " I just want to sleep!" Sleep is a good thing, it is something every person needs but my anger was unjustified! I did not have a right to sleep... I had the responsibility to take care of the child that I brought into this world .
What if we applied this principle to life in every circumstance take responsibility for your life , take responsibility for your sin? I can tell you we would have more police officers, less crime, unemployment would be lower, welfare less used, more churches full , less groups on the streets.
When we live only for our rights, we selfishly smother Liberty's flame.
Liberty is given by God so men may fulfill their responsibility to God, to their families, and to their country!
Rights are cherished and enjoyed only when in freedom we fulfill our responsibilities!!
What is your responsibility? To whom do you do your duty? I know where many responsibilities can be defined and learned . Open your Bible and find out what God expects of you . Rise up, don't quit. The responsibility seems greater the worse the days get , but it remains the same. Keep doing it!
